Three Sikorsky SH-3A Sea King from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 6 (HS-6) "Indians", flying over the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CVS-33).
HS-6 was assigned to Carrier Anti-submarine Air Group 53 (CVSG-53) aboard Kearsarge. The picture was taken after the 1962 FRAM-modernisation, but the carrier still carries the SPS-8A radar.
Also, the Sea Kings are not yet painted in the grey/white scheme, therefore the date is therefore probably 1962–1964

BAY OF BENGAL (April 5, 2021) Ships operate in the Bay of Bengal in support of exercise La Perouse 2021, April 5. La Perouse consists of naval assets from Australia, France, India, Japan and the United States. La Perouse is an exercise conducted during the annual French Navy midshipman deployment called Mission Jeanne d'Arc. The exercise is designed to conduct training, enhance cooperation in maritime surveillance, maritime interdiction operations, and air operations.

La Pérouse is led by the French Navy with participation of Mistral-class LHD Tonnerre and La Fayette-class frigate Surcouf. The US Navy is represented in the exercise by San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship Somerset. Her Majesty’s Australian Ships (HMAS) Anzac, a frigate and tanker Sirius have been deployed by the Royal Australian Navy for participation in the exercise while Japan Maritime Self Defence Ship (JMSDF) is represented by the destroyer Akebono. In addition to the ships, integral helicopters embarked onboard ships will also participate in the exercise. Indian Navy Ships INS Satpura (with an integral helicopter embarked) and INS Kiltanalong with P-8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft are participating, for the first time

HMS Victorious off Honolulu, 1943, while serving with the USN from November 1942 to September 1943
zycopd833xs61.jpg

The ship still belonged to the Royal Navy and was operated by a Royal Navy crew. There were a few additional USN personnel embarked to operate radio and communication equipment etc, to ensure familiarity when operating with USN forces. The ship was given the codename 'Robin', which was standard procedure. But at one point when asked 'What ship?' Victorious replied 'USS Robin' as a cheeky response.

Probably more accurate to think of Victorious being detached for operations in the Pacific under USN operational control rather than 'loaned'.
