Albanian "volunteer" in German service

A Vulnetaro as depicted in German propaganda: his affiliation is shown by the Red/Black/Red armband.

In Kosovo and in the annexed strip of Macedonia there was also a volunteer milita, starting in 1941 under Italian control and continuing under German occupation until 1944, known as Vulnetari (Italian adaptation of the Albanian vullnetarë — “volunteers”).
