On the 27 July 1945 the following two Wrens and George, were flying in a Barracuda Li of 753 Squadron which crashed at Leysmill Farm about three miles North West of R.N.A.S. HMS Condor, both Wrens were testing aircraft wireless equipment. They all perished at the scene.

The following three wrens along with other on the 15 October 1945, an Expeditor C.II, HD759, painted HB759 aircraft belonging to 742 Naval Air Squadron, Fleet Air Arm (1945-1946 at Air Transport Sqn) based at Colombo Racecourse, Ceylon stalled and crashed on the approach to RAF Station Ratmalana, Ceylon in bad weather. Five died at the scene, Sybil died the following day of her injuries.
