Major 35982 Wilmot Dixon LONGSTAFF. Staffordshire Yeomanry. Royal Armoured Corps Second in Command of the regiment killed at Al Almein 25 October 1942 aged 36. Son of Colonel Cedric Llewellyn Longstaff, C.B.E., T.D., J.P., D.L., and Lilias Longstaff, of Lichfield, Staffordshire; husband of Dorothy Mary Longstaff, of Brough, Yorkshire. Commemorated on the Alamein Memorial, Egypt.
