In proud memory of Admiral, Sir William Wordsworth Fisher G.C.B., G.C.V.O. Commander in Chief, Mediterranean Fleet 1932 - 1936. This flag by him in H.M.S. Barham as Rear Admiral, First Battalion Squadron Mediterranean Fleet 1924 - 1925 has been laid up in this cathedral where he often worshipped & of which he was a trustee.

He was born on the 26th March 1875 to Herbert William and Mary Louisa nee Jackson and was the husband of Cecilia. He died 24th June 1937 at 57, Manchester Street, London W.1. His effects went to his wife, Cecilia. He lived at Admiralty House, His Majesty\'s Dockyard, Portsmouth.
