Naval Record

TAYLOR William. Able Seaman 172227 Royal Navy on HMS Cornwallis. Born 29 October 1877 at Liverpool to Mrs. Mary Ann Taylor, of 23 Ruthin Street, West Derby Road, Liverpool. Enlisted 27 March 1893 onto HMS Impregnable. He was wounded by shrapnel in his right femur whilst in action in Dardanelles operation 25th April 1915. Died of his wounds Royal Naval Hospital Bighi 15th June 1915 aged 39 years. At rest in Plot C Grave 251 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
