STOBBART William. Private, 22/1626, 1st Garrison Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. Died of disease on the 19th January 1916 in Military Hospital, Imtarfa, Malta. His widow Mary Jane, nee Rippon who he married in 1905 at Chester le Street, Co, Durham was granted a war gratuity on the 22nd June 1916, revised on the 9th February 1920, and was then Mrs Mary Jane Rippon De Donder . In 1911 aged 38 he was living with his wife and children at 25, Warwick Square, Birtley. He was boy occupation a coal miner.
WAITE Mansell. Private, 9868, 5th Wiltshire Regiment. Died of enteric fever 16th January 1916, aged 19 years in Malta, contracted whilst in action at Gallipoli. Son of William and Ada Harriet Waite, (nee Hunter) of Lime Tree House, East Witton, Middleham, Yorkshire.
WALLS George. Private, 23931, C Coy, 1st, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Died of wounds 15th January 1916, aged 18 years at Military Hospital St Ignatius, Malta. The son of Thomas Henry. and Jane Walls, of 49 South View, Shiney Row, Philadelphia, County Durham. Father in thy keeping leave our son sleeping.
