William ROWLAND

ROWLAND, William. Private 1965, 1/5th Manchester Regiment, fell in action at the Dardanelles on the 6th August 1915 aged 19. He was the son of Samuel and Mary. "He gave his life for his country". He is commemorated on a family memorial in Leigh Cemetery, Lancashire, and also on the Helles Memorial, Turkey (including Gallipoli)
