CHERRY William Robert. Sergeant 743, Foot Branch, Military Police Corps, Salonika lines of communications, He fell ill in Egypt and died in St Johns Hospital, Malta 8th May 1917. Husband of Mabel and son of Alfred and Jemima of 1, Woodgrange Cottages, Ilford . In 1911 aged 17 he was a private in the artillery and was stationed at Topsham Artillery Barracks, Heavitree, Devon. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot C, Row XIII, Grave 5
