Born 1895 to Samuel and Margaret Millsip, nee Dennison of Glasgow, Lanarkshire. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at 179 Windmillhill Street, Motherwell, Lanarkshire. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 64 Milton Street, Motherwell, Lanarkshire
His father was granted a war gratuity 11 May 1919, revised 17 December 1919
Commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

Born 1890 to Samuel and Margaret Millsip of Glasgow, Lanarkshire. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at 179 Windmillhill Street, Motherwell, Lanarkshire. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 64 Milton Street, Motherwell, Lanarkshire. At the time of his death his parents were residing at 19 Globe Buildings, Motherwell. Enlisted 29 August 1914 aged 23 years, occupation, miner. Next of kin was his brother John and sister Elizabeth both of 10 Queen Street, Motherwell. Embarked to join the BEF in France 10 July 1915. Killed in action 13 July 1917.
