Died 22 April 1918 aged 23

Son of Hugh and Janet Ann Hughes. Mother granted War Gratuity 24 January 1920. Enlisted 11 November 1914 aged 19 years and 1 month. Resided at 56 Mostyn Street, Llandudno. Promoted to Corporal 10 June 1917 and reported missing 22 April 1918. In France 11 June 1917 to date he went missing. He embarked from Southampton 10 June 1917, disembarked at Rouen the following day.

Commemorated at Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.

Commemorated on a family headstone at

Llandudno Great Orme's Head Cemetery, Caernarvonshire (adjoining St Trudno's Churchyard).
