William KINSEY

General William KINSEY. Senior officer in the Madras Army who departed on the 6th April 1837 aged 85 at his residence in Abergavenny
Also of Isabella, relict of the above named General William KINSEY.
1796-99 Captain/ Lieutenant Colonel, William Kinsey (Gen) Commanding Officer, 10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles.
General William Kinsey died in England, April 6th, 1837. His
son Lieutenant James Strange Kinsey married Miss C. H.
Welles, daughter of Captain Welles of the Dutch Service, October 7th, 1820.
This memorial is in St Mary's Church, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
