Extended Description: Private 775, William BANCROFT. 12th Australian Infantry A.I.F.Killed in action at Gallipoli 25th May 1915 aged 22.Son of Thomas and Clara Bancroft, of Barrow-on-Trent Commemorated on his mother's (Clara) memorial at St Wilfrids Churchyard, Barrow on Trent and also on the Lone Pine Memorial Gallipoli Turkey

On his mothers memorial they have his date of death 2nd May 1915
