GARLAND William Alfred. Boy, J/42300 Royal Navy on HMS Russell Born 5 September 1899 at Tavistock Devon to Alfred and Martha Mary Garland, 4 Mount Ford, Tavistock, Devon. Enlisted 12 July 1915 on HMS Powerful occupation prior to enlistment, errand boy. Died 27th April 1916 aged 16 years when HMS Russell was sunk by a mine.

At rest in Plot C Grave 312 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
