Killed in action near Ovillers 09 July 1916 aged 34 years.

Born 08 November 1883
Lost at sea between Stranraer Scotland and Larne, Northern Ireland during a storm whilst on vehicle and passenger ferry M.V. Princess Victoria. 31 January 1953, There were 179 persons on board 135 people died. No women or children survived. They were first to leave the ship, but due to the rough and high waves the lifeboats they in were flipped over.
