The following information has been extracted from his Burnt Record. (Army)
Enlisted 19 April 1907.and a medical discharge about the 13th October 1919 with Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
He was Colour Sergeant 28749, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry
Company Quartermaster Sergeant, same regiment and also 3rd King's Shropshire Light Infantry
He was diagnosed in March 1919 with Tubercle Bacilli when he was in Ward C1 of Stepping Hill Hospital, 2nd Western General Hospital, Stockport. He was disharged from hospital on the 29th March 1919 to his home at 201. Wright Road, Washwood Heath, Selby, Birmingham
