Walter Edward NEWMAN. Private 10664308, Royal Army Ordnance Corps died 1st November 1945 aged 40. Son of Thomas and Sarah Newman, of Woodford. In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings at Woodford, near Stone, Gloucestershire. Husband of Edith Matilda Newman, nee Lyons of Woodford. On the 5th August 1934 he married Edith Matilda Lyons at St John's church, Charfield, Gloucestershire. He was aged 29, of Stone, Gloucestershire, occupation, painter. Edith was aged 36, of Charfield, daughter of William. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived with his wife at Station Road, Charfield. His wife received his effects. At rest in All Saints Churchyard, Stone with Woodford, Gloucestershire.
