Lieutenant, 17th Machine Gun Corps, killed in action 2nd November 1918 aged 32. Son of Charles Herbert 7 Elizabeth of Linwood House, Mount Hootton Road, Nottingham and is buried at Vendegies-Au-Bois British Cemetery, France. On the family memorial states that he was buried near Le Cateau, France His brother, Lieut, Sidney died in England also in 1918.
He is commemorated on his parents and brother's memorial at Nottingham General Cemetery
