Vyse Richard

General, (Colonel) 3rd Dragoon Guards. Son of Reverend William & Catherine, nee Smallbrook Born 11th July 1746 and died 30th May 1825

He was appointed Cornet 5th Dragoon on the 15th February 1763, Colonel, commanding 1st Dragoon. Served in Flanders in command of a brigade under the Duke of York. he attained the rank of General, 1st January 1812. He was the son of Major General Richard William Howard Vyse

This memorial is in Lichfield Cathedral, Staffordshire
