Victor Maurice READ

READ, Victor Maurice. Stoker LT/KX107490, Royal Naval Patrol Service on H.M. Trawler, Relonzo died on the 20th January 1941 aged 34. He was the son of Victor Maurice and Alice Elizabeth of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. He is at rest in Landican Cemetery, Birkenhead, Cheshire. (History of H.M.Trawler, Relonzo) Requisitioned April 1939 as auxilliary patrol vessel, 1940 converted to minesweeper, joined 136th M/S Group at Birkenhead, sunk by mine in Crosby Channel, Liverpool
