VENABLES-VERNON, William Walter

2nd Lieutenant 66003, 90th Field Coy, Royal Engineers formerly Lance Corporal, 24th Canadian Infantry. Born 22nd April 1890 St Louis, Missouri, U.S.A., and died of wounds in France at Contalmaison 11th October 1916 aged 26. Son of the late William Freserick Cuthbert of Vain Tower, Torquay, England and Louise, nee Frost of Villa Marguerite, Territet, Switzerland. He enlisted 9th December 1914 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Commemorated on a memorial in All Saints church, Sudbury, Derbyshire and is buried in Contalmaison Chateau Cemetery, France
