USS Marlin (SS-205) at Portsmouth


On 26 July 1945, while making a submerged practice approach on Chaffee (DE-230), she collided with SC-642 with slight damage to both ships. SC-642 was a submarine chaser of the SC-497 class built by Peterson Boat Works (Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, U.S.A.) .

I believe the arrows on the photo point to the damage caused during this collision
