USS Intrepid - New York

Part of the flight line on the deck of the USS Intrepid

Looks like a top museum. Is that a Prowler (EA 6B or otherwise) in civvie markings? 2nd from back?

It is a A-6F Intruder.
The one on display is one of a handful of A-6Fs, this particular plane being the 1988 testbed for new radar and avionics . The aircraft is on loan from the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, Florida

Hi Zofo
Just edited your link a little as the url posting gadget seems to be cocking things up a little.
This will be corrected soon when I update the Galleries software .

Hows tricks mate in sunny Mallorca ?

Hi boss link still goosed it's putting a space at the end of the URL.

if you click on the link it will take you to a new york site , just click in the address bar of your browser and remove the last 3 letters IE: %22, hit return and your on the proper page.

Sunny Mallorca is sunny...& hot...& humid around the 30 - 31' mark in the shade and 80+ % humidity - I wouldn't have it any other way! At least it's safe and sound compared to other hot places so I guess I'm v. lucky!

Boy, Zofo. Great site. If you haven't really looked at the photos of the Intrepid, check the picture of the TBF Avenger closely. Look at the name under the canopy. "Lt. George Bush"
