This is an interesting post card I saved along with a hundred or more other post cards from the trash dumpster, while I was helping clean out a basement and several out buildings of avery nice woman whose brother's had both served in WW2. The one brother was severly homesick an was sending at least 1 or more post cards home a week from boot camp, then England, and finally from Italy. He served in the U.S. Army Petroleum Quartersmaster Corp. . The other brother served in the south pacific in the Army Air Corp. he how ever didn't write home nearly as much. This card is from one of there many friends who wrote to the family quite often. The card was posted September 11, 1942 MARINE CORPS BASE San Diego, California . Many more to come.
