An 11 Squadron Typhoon aircraft comes into land after a sortie at Royal Air Force Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Such sorties enable front line Typhoon pilots to maintain their high standard of flying and combat skills.
The Typhoon force at Coningsby maintains Britain's Quick Reaction Alert, ready to launch in just a few minutes to intercept hostile or suspicious aircraft.
Despite the recent heavy snowfall, the hard work of the airmen and women at RAF Coningsby ensured that flights could still take place and work could continue as normal.
