(Information from his Burnt Record) Attested 11th December 1915 address, 2. White Oak, Long Shifnal, Bishops Wood, Brewood, aged 25yrs and 188days. Occupation Farm Labourer. next of kin his wife, Alice Louisa nee Brown (Same address) whom he married 6th March 1916 at the parish church of Bishops Wood. He received a gun shot wound to his kidney and thigh on the 31st May 1917 and was discharged medically unfit 4th September 1917 with the rank of Gunner.
