THOMPSON, Charles John McKinnon

Lieutenant, 1st Northumberland Fusiliers who fell in action at St Eloi near Ypres 27th March 1916 aged 23. he was the son of Reverend Samuel McKinnon Thompson, vicar of Northallerton, Yorkshire and Edith Ross. He was assistant Town Mayor of Bailleul 1915-16. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium

This widow is in All Saints church, Northallerton, Yorkshire
