Thomas 'Tam' MASON

Corporal 25202313 Thomas 'Tam' MASON 3rd Black Watch. The Royal Regiment of Scotland (3 Scots) He was injured by an improvised explosive devise (I.E.D.) while on duty in Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Operation Herrick on the 15th September 2009. Sadly he died of his wounds at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, Selly Oak Hospital on Sunday 25th October 2009 aged 27. He is at rest in Douglas Bank Cemetery, Pattesmuir, Dunferminshire and is or was commemorated on a Poppy Cross Memorial at the Bucknall War Memorial, Staffordshire, November 2014. Gone but not forgotten.
