Extended Description
RODGER Thomas McFarlane. Shoeing Smith, 5110, 1/2nd Scottish Horse. Died 23rd December 1915 in Malta, from wounds received at Gallipoli on 7th December, aged 19 years. The son of John Murrie Rodger and Jane McFarlane Rodger, of 1 Hillyland Crescent, Perth .

BRIDGE James. Lance Sergeant, 11350, 6th South Lancashire Regiment. Died of shrapnel wounds to his spinal cord 22nd December 1915 in a hospital in Malta from injuries received at Gallipoli.
Some notes from what remains of his army records.
He enlisted in August 1915 at St Helens age 29 and 4 months and was by occupation a baker and posted to the army reserve. He was called to the colours and posted to Tidworth, on the 4th September 1914. He embarked for the Mediterranean on the 22nd December 1915, promoted to Lance Sergeant with the 6th Battalion on the 25th October 1915. Wounded in action, invalided to a hospital in Malta where he died of shrapnel wounds to his spinal cord. His next of kin was his sister, Edith Worrall of St Pauls Road, West Smethwick, Staffordshire.

TOWE Wallace Private 22429, 7th Gloucestershire Regiment died of wounds 20th December 1915 aged 21 at Malta from wounds received in action at Gallipoli. He was the son of Wallace and Emma of 30, Mickleton Road, Earlsdon, Coventry. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Rest in our saviours love dear son. Till the day dawns, the shadows flee away.
