Son of the late John and Sarah Ann Highfield, of Lawton, Stoke-on-Trent. House steward for the late Lord Antrim, Glenarm Castle, Co. Antrim.

Commemorated on the memorial of Arthur and Edith Lea in St John's churchyard Alsager Bank, Staffordshire and also on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey
