DAVIES Thomas. Private, 2265, 1st/5th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers,
Died at 4.30 a.m,.15th November 1915, aged 27 years at St Patricks Hospital, Malta. (Tented hospital, under canvas)
Son of Mrs. Elizabeth E. Davies, of 21 Gordon Place, Mold.

St Patrick’s was a temporary tented hospital set up in San Gwann, near the Tal-Balal crossroads, to cope with the rapid expansion in medical requirements for the wounded coming from the Gallipoli campaign. It opened 15th August 1915 with 1000 beds and peaked at 1168 beds before being closed 27th April 1917.


TAYLOR, Charles Wilson. Private, 12038, 7th, Gloucestershire Regiment He died on the 12th November 1915 at Malta from diphtheria, an illness contracted while he was in the field at Gallipoli. He was born at Hinton on the Green, Evesham, Worcestershire and enlisted at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. A war gratuity was granted to Walter William Taylor on the 12th January 1920.

PULMAN Harry Burnett. Private, 1981, 1st/4th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, died 11th November 1915 in Malta from and illness contracted while in the field in Gallipoli. He was born in Cricklewood, Middlesex to Harry and Gertrude Ann in 1893. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at 120 Villers Road, Willisden, Islington, Middlesex. In 1911 his parents were still at this address he was not mentioned.
The UK, Army Registers of Soldier' Effects, 1901-1929 on Ancestry list his cause of death as accidently drowning.
