Thomas CALLAGHAN

Extended Description
Private 24216748 Thomas CALLAGHAN, 5th County Londonderry Battalion. Killed whilst off duty aged 45, occupation bus driver and resided at Limavady.
He was driving his bus through the Creggan Estate Londonderry 16 February 1972 when he was kidnapped at gunpoint by the PIRA and bundled into a car. His body was found shortly afterward at the junction of Brooke Street, Foyle Road. He had been shot through the head. At rest in St Mary's Chapel Cemetery. Limavady, County Londonderry.
Commemorated on the Ulster Defence Regiment Roll of Honour
