Born 1916 at Blisworth, Northamptonshire to Alice Elizabeth Whitmore (single person) His step father was called Harry Powell. Family Tree and Birth registration show Alfred Thomas. Died 7th November 1941

F064 KEAM, Montague Leslie Josling, Distinguished Service Medal. Flight Sergeant Wireless Operator, Air Gunner 363999, Royal Air Force (VR) of 730 Squadron Fleet Air Arm. Born 1908 at Senglea, Malta to William Albert and Frances Catherine Amy Cathrine Keam, nee Josling. Died 8th November 1941 aged 33 years.

Sgt Thomas Alfred Whitmore was killed whilst flying as a WOPAG in Blenheim IV, Z9746 of No 18 Sqn, which was damaged by flak during an attack on shipping in the Ionian Sea. Per Ardua Ad Astra.
