The Schutzmannschaft battalions were Nazi Collaborators organized by nationality at each location: Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians, Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Tatars. They were responsible for the murder of the Jewish population in each respective location.
The Germans were very clever in the way they deployed the Schutzmannschaft, they sent Ukranians to Poland for example to eliminate the possibility of any local ties or allegiances.
They were Murderers!
