- GLEAVE, Sydney, Test Pilot. Born 31st January 1905, killed on the 11th September 1944 .In 1938 he joined the Fleet Air Arm, and was seconded to the Air Transport Auxiliary. He crashed while test flying a Lancaster III. He was the son of Henshaw Jackson and Elizabeth Ellen. He is at rest in Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire.
