An unlikely assortment of weapons there... Austrian Schwarzlose MG, Russian PPSh SMG and what appears to be a French Hotchkiss design. Possibly taken from partisans?
GI repairs an Austrian machine gun from WWI. Another GI works on a French Hotchkiss machine gun from the last war. The men are at work at an Ordinance Depot somewhere in Normandy, France. 1944.
I am unable to find anything regarding how these weapons came to be captured, especially the PPsH. It's entirely feasible for the Schwarzlose and the Hotchkiss to have been in use by units involved in the Atlantic Wall, but the presence of the PpsH is a novel one.
