Sidney Joseph LEWIS. Private 202936, 2/4th Royal Berkshire Regiment, died of wounds in France 12th May 1918 aged 29. Son -in-law to Thomas and Sarah Ann POOLE of Thornbury, Gloucestershire Son of William Thomas and Lottie Lewis, of Falfield, Glos, husband of Lizzie Lewis, of Grovesend, Thornbury, Glos. His widow was granted a war gratuity on the 26th August 1918, revised on the 20th November 1918 and 22nd December 1919. Commemorated in his in-laws memorial in Thornbury Cemetery, Kington Lane, Thornbury, Gloucestershire. At rest in Aire Communal Cemetery, France.
