Sidney HALL

Extended Description
HALL Sidney. Corporal 9213, 3rd Worcestershire Regiment, killed in action at Richbourg-Saint-Vaast, France, October 13th 1914 aged 26. Son of Henry and Ann nee Knight of Kidderminster and brother of Frederick who fell in the Boer War and Henry who fell in 1915 and husband of Alice Elizabeth nee Britten whom he married at Kidderminster Registery Office 22nd August 1912.
His military record state that he enlisted 7th April 1905 and his occupation was a Groom. He served in twice in Malta, Egypt, India and Bareilly. He transferred to the army reserve on the expiration of his period of army service on the 16th May 1911. 22nd August 1912 at Kidderminster Registry Office he married Miss Alice Elizabeth Britten. He was called to the colours 5th August 1914 and later posted to France, where he was killed in action at Lacouture, France. Last known address for his wife was Lodgeford Hill, Chaddesley Corbelt, Kidderminster. He is commemorated on a memorial at St George's churchyard, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and is buried at Brown's Road Military Cemetery, Festubert, France
