MIFSUD Saviour. Gunner, 20275, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery, died 19th April 1942, aged 23 years. The son of Joseph and Anne Mifsud, and husband of Rita Mifsud, of St. Pauls Bay

KELLY Michael. Gunner, 915414, 223 Battery, 32nd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery, died 22nd April 1942.

JOHNSON Albert Henry. Corporal, 4122825, 1st Cheshire Regiment. Born 1914 to Frederic Edmund and Mary Agnes Johnson. Died of his wounds 25th April 1942, aged 28 years in a Military Hospital in Malta. On that day he and two friends, Privates E Jones and F Johnson of the same regiment were on a leisure day off and visiting Valletta. At some stage and air raid started and they went to the nearest shelter which was in Old Bakery Street. The shelter received a direct hit from a high explosive bomb causing many deaths and injuries. Privates Jones and Jepson were never found.
