YATES Samuel. Private 31407, 6th Cameron Highlanders died of wounds in France on the 6th May 1918 aged 20. He was the grandson of Samuel and Mary Ann and nephew of Samuel who also fell in the war , and son of Harry and Jane Wilson Grey Yates of 74, Denny Street, Inverness, Scotland. He is commemorated on his grandparents memorial in Christ Church churchyard, Croft, Lancashire and he is at rest in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France.
