Extended Description: Samuel Hugh Albert Jess. Sergeant 635446, Wireless Operator, Air Gunner, Royal Air Force. Eldest son of James Coulter and Ellen Henderson Jess of Killyleagh, County Down. Shot down and killed on air operation over Germany 13 March 1941.

At rest in Hamburg Cemetery, Germany.

Commemorated on his parent’s memorial in St John the Evangelist Churchyard and Killyleagh war memorial.
