Extended Description: Engine Room Artificer 3rd Class, M/2322 Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve, on H.M.S. Defence lost his life in the battle of Jutland 31st May 1916 aged 31. Only son of Samuel H Townend Lee and Emma Lee of Stoke on Trent and husband of Elsie nee Yarwood of 10, Gable Street, Stoke on Trent.

Commemorated on his inlaws' memorial, Henry & Ellen Yarwood at Hartshill Cemetery, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and also commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon
