HILL, Sam, (Military Medal) Corporal 21597, 7th, East Lancashire Regiment attached to 56th Trench Mortar Battery killed in France on the 19th December 1917 aged 24. He was the son of Ralph and Ellen.

He is commemorated on his parents memorial in Leigh Cemetery, Lancashire and he is at rest in Ribcourt British Cemetery, France
