Rowland FOWLES. Private 96562, 52nd General Hospital, Royal Army Medical Corps died on active service in France 1 July 1918 aged 29 in 53rd General Hospital, Boulogne, France. Son of Rowland and Maria of Avening. His mother was granted a war gratuity on the 9th September 1918, revised on the 11th December 1919. Commemorated on his parents memorial in Holy Trinity churchyard, Avening, Gloucestershire. At rest in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France
