Ronald Playfair St Vincent BERNARD

BERNARD, Ronald Playfair St.Vincent. Colonel, General Staff, Commands of Staffs and 6th Gurkha Rifles (retired) died 25th January 1943 aged 54. D.S.O., M.C., Mentioned in Despatches 1914-1918 War. (Wills and Admin, Ancestry) He lived and died at Lawnwood, Ash Hill Compton, near Wolverhampton. His effects went to Katherine Etheldreda Bernard his widow. He was born on the 25th April 1888 at Singapore and was the son of Francis Gumm Bernard and Edith Frances nee Edwards. He is commemorated on both Twyning War Memorials, village and parish church, Gloucestershire. He is at rest in Wolverhampton Cemetery, Staffordshire.
