Roll of Honour 1939 - 1945.
Those of the parish of Coxwold who served in His Majesty's Forces during The War 1939 - 45
The following sadly failed to return.

BARDON George. Stoker LT/KX 121580. Royal Naval Patrol Service, H.M.S. Philoctetes. Died 31st August 1943 aged 23. Son of Joseph Wood and Alice Bardon, of Oulston, Yorkshire. Commemorated on the Lowestoft Naval Memorial, Suffolk.

PRATT Stanley Horace. 84 Squadron, Royal Air Force died 22nd July 1946 aged 26. Son of Ernest Robert Vincent and Elsie Winifred Pratt; husband of Joan Alice Emily Pratt, of Salisbury. At rest in Cheras Road Civil Cemetery, Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia.

PENNOCK George. Trooper 326069, Yorkshire Hussars, Royal Armoured Corps, (memorial has Royal Army Service Corps). Died 2nd May 1943 aged 24. Son of George and Nellie Pennock; stepson of C. Pennock, of Coxwold, Yorkshire. Commemorated on the 1939-1945 Brookwood Memorial, Surrey.

WEIGHTMAN Thomas Sinclair. Sergeant 564455, 82 Squadron, Royal Air Force, died 27th February 1940 aged 27. Son of Harry and Jane Weightman, of Harrogate, Yorkshire. Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
