Rodney James Murray EDEN. Commander Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Born 2 November 1911 at Croydon, London. Married Joan M William 1946 in the Registration District of Bermondsey. Died in Malta 19 April 1988 aged 76 years. His residence prior to his death was 90 Sir Ugo Mifsud Street Lija, Malta. Fondly remembered by his children Rosemary, Ottevanger, Christopher Eden and Delphina A ALTY and 6 grandchildren, Tasmania, Australia,

Also, in memory of his son Christopher Rodney Murray EDEN. Born 19 August 1940 died 6 July 2011.

Rodney James Murray Eden appointed a Sub-Lieutenant in the R.N.V.R. on 29 October 1939. Promoted to Lieutenant in October 1940 and Acting Lieutenant-Commander in March 1943. Served throughout the war in coastal forces. Placed in command of H.M.S. Wiay an Isles Class trawler in September 1946. Released from Naval Service on 4 July 1947.
