Roberta Dalzell FRASER late Australian Imperial Force 1931 to 2007. Beloved children of Clara Fraser, Sydney, Australia. She may not be at rest in this cemetery or Malta.

Roberta Dalzell FRASER. Sister N217240 Royal Australian Air Force Nursing Services. Born 19 May 1931 at Paddington, New South Wales. Enlisted 1 June 1955, next of kin her mother Clara Evelyn Fraser (formerly Peterson) of 39 Marlborough Street, Drummoyne, Sydney, New South Wales.

Qualifications -
She trained at Belmain and District Hospital, Belmain, Sydney from June 1949 and qualified as General Nurse July 1953.
Trained as an obstetric nurse at the Royal Hospital for Women at Paddington, New South Wales June 1954, qualified January 1955.

Postings -
Stationed at Base Squadron, Pearce, Western Australia as Section Officer 6 December 1956. Next Base Squadron, Butterworth, Malaya as Section Office 5 June 1958 and lastly to 6 RAAF Hospital, Laverton as Section Officer 7 January 1959.

Letter dated 20 June 1958 -
Roberta Dalzell Fraser N217240 RAAFNS, Nurse, Medical Section, No2 Airfield Construction Squadron RAAF Butterworth, Penang, Malaya. Section Officer. Offer of a permanent commission in RAFF Nursing Services takes effect from 7 May 1958.

Specialist course completed -
She completed a specialist course with the rank of Sister of Medical Air Evacuation No 10 Causality Evacuation from 31 October 1955 to 11 November 1955 at Base Squadron, Point Cook, Victoria, Australia. Remarks by Chief Ground Instructor. Very keen, showed considerable interest in the course. Proficient both in practice and theory, considered very suitable for Air Evacuation work.

Section Officer 1 June 1955 and Flight Officer 1 January 1960.
Medal -
Awarded the General Service Medal with bar Malaya

She was discharged 4 March 1960 on ceasing to be eligible for RAAFNS. (She was getting married) to Pilot Officer B.C. Lewman 2 (F) Operational Conversion Unit (O.C.U.) RAAF Williamstown, New South Wales. 26 March 1960 in Sydney, New South Wales.

27 May 1960 she applied for commission into New Zealand Nursing Corps.
