P.2 Spitfire Pilot, Photographic reconnaissance Unit RAFVR killed in action on the 25th May 1941 aged 20 three weeks before his 21st birthday. Son of Frank and Lilian Quinton Ayres of Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire. Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey

This memorial is situated at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire
