- Gunner, Signalman 901761 Robert WHITTLE. 88th Field Regiment, Royal Artillery. Born 17th December 1918 died 22nd March 2002. Dunkirk Veteran and a Far East Prisoner of War Vetran. Captured 15th February 1942. With fondest memories. Rest in Peace. This memorial plaque is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire
